Our deepest sympathy to Mere Motts' family. I had my first job at Motts' Restaurant. As youngsters, we'd gather there to go out and we'd end up there at the end of the evening also. Mere and Pere Mott cared for us just as if we were one of their own. Great memories and loads of fun, especially Hallowe'en costume parties. Carol Rainey-McDonald ( bad bacon story)

As your Mom's light is gone from your lives, we would like to share our sympathies to your entire family. No words will ever truly be able to compensate for the loss of a mother but may our sharing in your grief help ease the burden of mourning and provide some comfort during this difficult time. What a legacy she left behind, countless happy memories and all the amazing ways she impacted your world during her life. May your Mom rest in peace. Peter, Souz and the Riden Family.

A true matriarch, this women was a force to recon with. Strong and smart. I can only hope to live up 1/4 of what my grandma has accomplished throughout her life . She was and is an inspiration for me to be the best mother, sister, friend and neighbor. I will miss tea time and comparing cups. Watching you hug my husband with all your might to let him know how welcomed he was in your home. But most of all I will miss the leadership. I can appreciate how strong a person really is when she gives a date and time with no reminders and everyone shows up. That’s a matriarch and a leader. So blessed to have had her in my life for so long.

I am genuinely privileged to have known Madam Blanche Mott, as my wife's much beloved Grandmother. In many ways I thought of her like my own Grandmother, and as the matriarch of the family she always made me feel most welcomed. I always enjoyed chatting with her either in person or by telephone, and the genuine interest she showed for the events occurring in my life. I will miss those conversations and her warm sense of humour. May God reunite her with loved-ones and grant her many blessings. Matthew Stevens.
