It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allan John Linton, June 8th 2023 at the age of 84. Allan died peacefully at the Sunrise Residence, Dollard-des-Ormeaux with his family at his side.
Known affectionately as "Buddy" to his siblings, Lewis (the late Valerie), Harold, and Doreen (Dr Arvind Joshi).
Devoted husband of the late Marjorie Arthurs.
Loving Uncle to Glen & Garth (Emma) Linton and Sunil (Helene) & Sandeep (Henda) Joshi.
Great-Uncle to Vanessa (Eric Chartrand) & Michael Linton.
Allan was fortunate enough to have met the next generation in Eva, Nina, & Dev Joshi and little Juliano Chartrand.
The Linton family would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Bruce Campbell of St. Mary's Hospital Center, for his compassionate care of Allan, who maintained all along that he wasn't sick,and the staff of 6 North of St. Mary's Hospital, who helped the family come to terms with Allan's diagnosis.
Allan's last 9 months were spent at the Sunrise Residence in D.D.O., where he was surrounded by caregivers who navigated the Linton stubborn streak with patience, humour, and affection. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. D'Ignazio at Sunrise for his patience & understanding.
Donations in Allan's memory may be made to St. Mary's Hospital Oncology Department or to a charity of your choice.
Allan often reminisced about all the happy days he spent on the Seigniory Club, working as a game warden & guide with his father. It is our fervent prayer that Allan is now patrolling the hills of Heaven with Dad.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Desforges Funeral Home, 188 rue Principale, Grenville, QC (819) 242-2113. A celebration of Allan's life will be held on Saturday August 19th 2023 at 11 AM in Ponsonby Anglican Cemetery, in Gramont, as per his wishes.
