It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Stanley Cavanagh of Grenville, Quebec on February 27th, 2026. Wayne passed away peacefully with dementia. He was born on the 24th of June 1941 to the late Myrtle Cavanagh (Donaldson) and the late Patrick Stanley Cavanagh of Grenville, Quebec. He is survived by his brother Ronnie (late Margaret), and his sisters Carole-Lynn (late Freddy Sr.) and Sheila. Predeceased by his youngest brother Michael Perry (Cathy). He is also survived by his four children; Shelley-Anne, Martin, Wendy and Randy. He will be missed by his grandchildren; Corey and Emmelie-Anne, also by his great granddaughter Liana.
He will be forever be missed by his partner of over 40 years Charline Roy, along with her children Roch, Luc and Patrick along with their wives. Papi will also be missed by Jenny, Kassandra, Chloé and Cindy.
He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a long list of friends old and new, among those all the friends that became his family in his heart.
Wayne was a well known man he was respected in our community and beyond for all the great things he loved to do for others. He was a proud member of the Knights of Colombus in Hawkesbury and he served so many delicious meals that will be remembered by so many.
As per Wayne’s request there will be no service but a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
