    Dear Malcolm, Ricky and families,
I know this is belated, but please accept condolences from all the Vowles family in the loss of your mother. She was a real lady
and I remember her well. My mother, Ena Vowles, now lives here near me in Scotland and she has just turned 90. She sends her
very kindest regards to all. Perhaps we’ll meet up again at one of my « homecoming » parties that I have at the Brownsburg Legion.
You are in our thoughts and prayers,
    Mary Vowles

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of providing care for Alida at the Manoir. She was and always will be an amazing woman with the greatest hugs. I enjoyed all the stories she shared about her life growing up and her family. She will be missed terribly. Rest in peace Alida Witham.

Dear Malcom , Ricky , and families .
I just learned yesterday that your mother had passed away, She was a wonderful lady, always smiling and so friendly whenever we happened to see each other somewhere over the years. Your mom and my mother were friends also when they were younger and working at the CIL in Brownsburg , and I think they both boarded at the same home or my mother boarded with your parents before Malcom was born .when she was working in th CIL.

When my parents were 50 years married , and the family had an open house for thrm, your mother gwve them a lovely glassed picture with their wedding invitation inside that she had made , and it had and some lovely blue lowers inside the frame too. I still have that framed invitation today.

My thoughts and prayers are with you today . Your mom will not be forgotton . I’m sure you have lots of memories of he times together thwt will sustain yuntoday mane in the days ahead.. I often find comfort when I’m reading from my Bible and John 14, and Psalm 121 are two places where I have often found comfort , and I hope they will be of comfort to you and your family too.

I’m sorry I will not be able to be home in Brownsburg to attend the funeral tomorrow, as I will be having my 11th chemotherapy treatment for Cancer on Thursday morning . I will be thinking of you all tomorrow, and in the days ahead too.
    Joy Hicks
