Mr. Alan John Meister of Ottawa passed away on Wednesday February 14th 2018 in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Hattie MacLean. Dear stepfather to Mark Pharand (Jackie Share), Jo-Anne Pharand and Debbie Pharand (Joshua Campeau). Brother of Sharon Michaelson and Terry Meister. Also survived by eight grandchildren, one great grandson, nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Desforges Funeral Home, 188 rue Principale, Grenville, QC - (819) 242-2113. A graveside service will be held on Saturday June 2, 2018 at 2 PM in Aylmer, QC. Condolences may be sent online by visiting www.desforges.ca.  In lieu of flowers, donations to May Court Hospice, 114 Cameron Avenue, Ottawa, ON K1S 0X1 would be appreciated.

    Time . I knew Alan from our time in Vanier in the 60s & 70s . We crossed paths many times
    Over the years and always had great conversations as we reminised our times at play.
